Every swimmer progresses at their own pace, depending on experience, comfort level, consistency and engagement.
Rather than focusing on a fixed timeline, lessons focus on building strong, transferable skills step by step. This leads to more confident and capable swimmers in the long term.
Progress is monitored coninusously throughout lessons, with updates provided monthly to highlight what the swimmer has achieved and what they are working on.
This ensures a clear understanding of skill development.
Progress is based on skill development, confidence, autonomy and consistency, not time or age.
Before advancing to a new environment or to learning more complex skills, swimmers must demonstrate consistency, control and confidence with their acquired skills. This ensures they are truly ready for the next step and that the new expectations will come as a welcomed challenge and not a scary experience or feelings of pressure.

Repetition is a key part of how swimmers build strong, reliable skills.
Each time a skill is practiced, your child is strengthening the connection between their brain and body. Over time, this leads to automaticity—the ability to perform a movement smoothly and without having to think through every step.
Repetition also allows for small adjustments and improvements. What may look the same from the outside is often being refined in subtle but important ways.
The goal isn’t just to “do” a skill once—it’s to build consistency, control, and confidence so it works naturally in a variety of situations.
Both.
Swimmers learn essential safety skills—such as floating, breathing, and returning to the wall—alongside proper technique. Developing both together creates swimmers who are safe, efficient, and confident.
Lessons are also tailored to ensure progress toward the swimmer goals shared in the intake form.
